At Mid-West Fertilizer we have always focused on providing high-quality products for your soybean seed treatment needs. This year we will be offering a new product called Saltro, from Syngenta. This will be in addition to our previous lineup.

Saltro was originally launched for soybean cyst nematode (SCN) and Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) in soybeans with great success. Recent research and experience have found that we are seeing a benefit to plant health when adding this to base Fungicide/Insecticide treatments even in the absence of SCN and SDS Pressure. When comparing plants treated with Saltro, we have noted significantly greater and healthier root mass below ground and above ground notable vigor differences.  On Average, we are seeing a 3-bushel advantage versus standard treatment even in the absence of SDS of SCN.

Maximizing yield and potential in soybeans begins with establishing a uniform stand. Saltro can provide an increased plant mass both above and below ground to help set the stage for future successes with your 2023 crop.

Always remember to choose genetics first.  If you have a history of SDS or SCN please work with your local Strategic Account Manager or Agronomy office to select the appropriate varieties. Saltro can help manage those acres where you know you may have issues but can also provide peace of mind knowing you are getting a product that delivers results regardless of pressure.
